Shiva: Will be observed at family residence, on Friday, following the entombment,
on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm with minyan services at 7:30 pm
and on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with minyan services at 7:30 pm.

Karen Michele Strausberg Castor passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 59.  Born in New Brunswick she grew up in Livingston and lived in Springfield for the past 21 years.  She held a B.A. from Ryder University in Business and an MBA from Rutgers University in Finance. She had worked for the past nine years as the budget director for Aerosoles Shoes in Edison.  She was a member and past treasurer of Temple Sha’arey Shalom of Springfield.  Also active in Karate World of Kenilworth she earned a 3rd degree black belt.  She was also a reader for the blind.  She is survived by her husband, Mark Allen Castor, a son Benjamin Castor, both of Springfield, NJ, a brother Jerome (Mary) Strausberg, of Belair MD., a sister Judy (Ken) Nemiroff, of Union, NJ,  her mother, Irene Strausberg (nee Silver) and four nieces, Jenny, Laura, Allison and Lisa as well as her beloved cat Baltusrol Castor.  She was predeceased by her father, Arthur Strausberg.  Donations in her memory may be made to the National Foundation For Cancer Research 4600 East West Highway, Suite 525, Bethesda, MD. 20814.
