Malvina Lefkovits passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.  Born in Czechoslovakia, she survived Auschwitz and emigrated to Israel in 1949.  The family came to the United States in 1954, settling first in Newark, then Hillside then Springfield.  Mrs. Lefkovits was the owner of Malvina’s, a dress shop which she opened in Hillside then relocated to Springfield before finally moving to Millburn.  Upon retiring in 1984, she moved to Florida but returned to New Jersey in 2002, settling in South Orange.  Predeceased by her husband Emil and son Ernest, she is survived by her daughter Tova Silberman, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
