Michael Braurman passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Baku, Azerbaijan he lived in Siberia, and then Baku again before emigrating to the U.S. in 1993 where he first settled in Elizabeth, N.J..  He lived there for one year before moving on to Hillside, N.J. where he lived until 2001 when he moved to Flanders, N.J..  He served the Soviet Union during World War II in the Soviet Defense Forces and received the Defense Labor Medal.  He was a graduate electronic engineer for over 40 years in the Former Soviet Union before retiring.  He proudly became a U.S. Citizen in 2000. He is survived by a son, Alexander (Olga) Braurman of Mendham, N.J., a daughter Liliya (Boris) Colotov of Ashkelon, Israel a brother, Yaacov Braurman of Springfield, N.J., 3 grandchildren, Michael, Oxana and Valarie and 4 great-grandchildren, Gorine, Katherine, Yasmine, and Aaron.
