Location of Service: Ross' Shalom Chapels, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, N.J. 07081.
Interment: Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, N.J.

Shiva: A meal of consolation will follow the interment.  Shiva will continue after the meal of consolation
at the family residence, 355 Short Drive, Mountainside, N.J. 07092 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday

Marvin S. Berkowitz of Mountainside died Thursday, November 20, 2014 peacefully at home. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Berkowitz owned his own printing company, Berk’s Printing Service in Newark until his retirement.  A 1954 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (then Carnegie Tech.), Mr. Berkowitz lived in Colonia and Iselin, moving to Mountainside in 1989.  Surviving are his wife, Eileen Dachnowicz; three sons, David Berkowitz and Bruce Berk of Arizona, and Craig Berkowitz of Pennsylvania, two stepsons, Peter Dachnowicz of Nanuet, NY and Dwight Dachnowicz (Tara) of Basking Ridge, N.J. and a stepdaughter, Jean Goldman (Barry) of New York City; nieces Meryl Glassman (Ronald) of Mountainside, Ande Derider (Doug) of Dunkirk, NY and Debbie Zoland of New York City; nephew Mark Zeplowitz of California; sister-in-law Leonora Halligan of New York City; ten grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.  He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Selma Berkowitz, his two sisters, Lenore Zeplowitz and Alma Corsover Goldberg, his nephew, Stuart Corsover, and sister-in-law Mary Travers.  Donations to the Mountainside Police Benevolent Association would be appreciated.
